This program is designed to help with individual growth and to support self-regulation through the use of mindfulness meditation practices. Through various forms of culturally-related mindfulness techniques, participants will learn key practices such as relaxation, deep breathing exercises, listening skills, visualization and body movements. The program is also geared to help children and parents to increase their understanding of mindfulness techniques so that they can cooperate in mutual living strategies. This journey in mindfulness can lead to greater synergistic flows in daily life.
Sessions will focus on offering an introduction to mindfulness practice, attention/intention and participating in mindfulness exercises. The program will utilize various mindfulness practices such as deep breathing, body work, visualizations, movement exercises and greater awareness of the body’s sensory system.
