This workshop is centred on training employees in mindfulness techniques. The goal is to help staff members to deploy mind and body strategies to be able to manage stress more effectively. Through the development of various key mindfulness meditation techniques, staff members will learn creative mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress and fine-tune awareness practices. These will range from deep breathing, calming exercises and effective listening skills, to body movement, relaxation and stress management techniques.
Method: The workshop will involve the embrace of new and effective mindfulness stress management techniques to help manage healthy and professional lifestyles. This practice is focused on re-energizing staff in order to help to prevent burn out and to encourage participants to incorporate wellness techniques into their daily self-care routine.
Structure: This is a one-day or half-day workshop that could be offered with a staff development theme. The ideal participant range is 15 to 20 individuals.
